The wind, cold and harsh, slashing my skin, makes me remember once again that I am alive.

~~

A painting I did to practice more animation! Certainly discovered A LOT OF THINGS while doing this! And I'm pleased with the result! Had the help of the ever amazing :iconmarcotonio-desu: (he's the best!) that accompanied the animation and helped me a lot, especially on the hair!

The music is an edited version of a song called 'Japanese Dream', (which sadly, I don't know the original composer) with some sound FX.

Enjoy Nae moment. :3

Art, Nae, Blade Under Mask me

PS: I'm still learning all this animation thing, so if you have any critiques to give me, they'd be welcome!

its hard to say but this has a certain charming essence to it. maybe its the very original female Human-esque insectoid, or the beautiful starry sky, or maybe even the slight breeze that caresses her hair and kimono, whatever it is its very appealing. Although i must say the caption hardly fits the the actual art. If i may? try something along the lines of "The wind, like my ancestors, forever nudging me forward." besides that this is overall, well animated, very interesting and definitely catches the eye. Keep up the good work White mantis, its good stuff.

Very nice the art is brought together with the music very nicely and has a very nice feeling about it, makes me feel calm and at peace. besides the small animation i think the female character needs a little more emotion but other then that its very good. the colour is nice and has a smooth transition from the sky to the character and the light aura is very good creates the allusion of depth and looks like it took alot of work and time, very good effort please keep doing art very nice and the music is very good as well :)

This is, by far, my favorite of your animated pieces. I love the way the stars look, so far away and yet so clear, and how the lantern light brings contrast and illumination from below.

I've been wanting to create animated pieces myself for a while now, and recently managed to get After Effects (the whole adobe suite, actually). Short from letting me steal your friend, were there any online tutorials/resources that helped you out when you were first starting?
